Project Overview
MyAashis is a lifestyle brand offering a wide range of furniture, lighting, kitchenware, seasonal gifts, and accessories. To achieve more control over features, cost-efficiency, and scalability, MyAashis decided to migrate from Shopify to WooCommerce.
EbizON was brought in to manage the end-to-end migration, covering all CMS content, customer and order data, plugin setup, SEO continuity, and rigorous testing—without introducing new design changes. The project used the pre-purchased Restoration theme.
Project Objectives
- Migrate website from Shopify to WooCommerce.
- Transfer 6,000+ products, customer records, and order history.
- Preserve design and layout using the Restoration WooCommerce theme.
- Configure plugins for wishlist, keyword search with rewards, checkout, payments, and chat.
- Ensure SEO rankings and internal linking remain intact post-migration.
- Maintain system behavior and integrity via thorough testing.
Project Execution
1. Design and Discovery Process
- Conducted stakeholder interviews to align on business goals and expectations.
- Audited the existing Shopify site structure, features, and user flows.
- Documented all key modules, workflows, and technical dependencies.
- Outlined a roadmap for data migration, design preservation, and SEO continuity.
2. Data Evaluation and Mapping
- Performed a full audit of Shopify data: products, customers, orders, and content.
- Mapped Shopify entities to WooCommerce equivalents (e.g., product types, variants).
- Created a structured data map aligning taxonomies and product attributes.
- Identified custom fields and ensured compatibility with WooCommerce structure.
3. Development and Customization
- Implemented the Restoration theme for WooCommerce while preserving the original design.
- Customized key templates: product listing, product detail, cart, and checkout pages.
- Integrated existing Shopify functionality using WooCommerce-compatible plugins.
- Performed custom theme development for unique design and feature requirements.
4. Content Migration to WooCommerce
- Migrated over 6,000 products along with customer and order data.
- Transferred all CMS content, including category pages and galleries.
- Ensured accurate preservation of product metadata, media files, and SEO tags.
- Verified consistency of product details across variants and categories.
5. Thorough Testing and Quality Assurance

6. URL Redirection and SEO Preservation
- Created 301 redirects for all legacy Shopify URLs.
- Registered the WooCommerce site with Google Search Console.
- Submitted updated XML sitemaps for re-indexing.
- Set up a custom 404 page and updated robots.txt.
- Re-linked internal pages and external references.
- Conducted on-page SEO optimizations across key landing pages.
7. Launch and Ongoing Support
- Launched the WooCommerce store after successful UAT and regression testing.
- Provided real-time monitoring of SEO performance, crawl errors, and plugin issues.
- Delivered post-launch support including:
